New Year and Frank

Frank image1

Happy New Year to all of our customers and Blog readers. Here's hoping that 2017 is a great year for us all. Ours got off to an unusual start as Frank arrived between Christmas and New Year. He is a Hungarian Vizsla and is nine weeks old and has taken over our lives and hearts already.

We already had Stanley, our 12 year old Border Terrier and we have always had at least two dogs at any one time. When our last dog Marjorie died suddenly at 3 years old we were heartbroken and it has taken a long time before I would agree to have another dog. Many years ago we had a Hungarian Vizsla, Barry, who was absolutely wonderful even if he was 'slow to mature', and we always said that if we had the chance we would love to own another one. Frank has arrived and my life (and kitchen) will never be the same again, I had forgotten what it is like to put everything out of reach, which is only going to get worse as he grows, and to make most things puppy proof.  We bought a childs play pen so he will be safe if I have to go out and leave him for a time but the play pen has been a source of refuge for Stanley when he is sick of puppy sitting duties so it has a dual purpose. We have yet to introduce him to our cat, Beryl who considers herself above such things as puppies so that is another adventure for young Frank.

The farm shop and Manufacturing has all resumed this week and we are thrilled with some of our reviews for our bird feeds. Have you tried any of our High Energy mixes for the birds in your gardens? A new customer has tried our Bird Feeds and has contacted ourselves with a most flattering review reagrding quality and prices and another customer informed us that he takes our Laverock No Waste Wild Bird Food down to a family member in Wales when he visits them as theymoved down there and miss our Wild Bird Foods. I did tell him that they could use our website service but apparently he enjoys delivering the food in person so he can enjoy a short holiday at the same time. A win win situation for all concerned. http://www.laverockhallfarm.co.uk/wild-bird-food/laverock-no-waste-wild-bird-food-detail

This is a short blog post as we are on training duties but I just thought I would share our new arrival news with you all. Normal service should be resumed as soon as he is toilet trained.
